The rocking chair porch invites you to take in wide-open views of the pasture while sipping coffee or watching the wildlife pass by. Elk have recently been spotted in the front pasture, and deer often roam through the hammock garden just a short stroll down the lighted path. Step inside and you’ll find a space thoughtfully designed to reflect a western lifestyle, with cowhide chairs, saddle stools, and charming western touches throughout. The living room has an electric fireplace for cozy evenings, and the dining area — surrounded by windows — looks out over the pasture, making every meal or card game something special. The adjacent saloon room brings the Old West to life with its authentic décor, bar, and a second electric fireplace — perfect for telling stories, laughing late into the night, or simply soaking in the unique setting. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and its own fireplace, with an attached bunk room separated by a barn door curtain. A second bedroom offers a queen bed, and the home includes two full bathrooms for convenience and comfort. There are three TVs — one in each bedroom and one in the living room — along with high-speed internet for those who want to stay connected. Though there’s no air conditioning, opening the windows brings in the fresh mountain breeze, keeping the space naturally cool and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with everything you need — including essential seasonings, cookware, and complimentary coffee. We also provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry soap, and a collection of bonus toiletries to make your stay as easy and relaxing as possible. Outdoors, explore all 14 private acres — pasture and trees — head to the hammock garden via the lighted path and relax under the canopy of trees. The hammock garden is designed for total relaxation and immersion in nature. The fenced backyard is perfect for your furry friend to roam safely, and the cabin is dog-friendly. You'll also find a second cozy lounge area in the fenced yard — a great spot to enjoy a drink, read a book, or simply soak in the mountain air while your pup plays nearby. The front porch, with its four classic rocking chairs, is the ideal place to take in the tranquil views, enjoy a drink, and slow down. Though it feels wonderfully remote, the cabin is also equipped with high-speed internet, so you can stream, scroll, or work remotely if needed. You'll also be just a short drive away from the United States Air Force Academy, major hospitals, and the conveniences of Colorado Springs — offering the perfect balance of peaceful retreat and easy access to the essentials. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. You will also be given the choice between a security deposit of $10.00 or a damage waiver of $35.00. Truvi will contact you to complete this process and will refer to my company, LJ Vacation Rentals. Please note that this notification is legitimate, and must be completed prior to your stay. One furry friend is welcome (additional pets must be approved, and no pit bulls allowed), but guests must clean up after them. Additional cleaning charges will apply if pet waste is left behind. Absolutely no smoking of any kind is allowed inside the home — a minimum fee of $250 will be charged for violations of this policy.
